On March 1st and 2nd 2025 Jagex hosted Runefest at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. This was the first since covid and was long awaited by fans. I volunteered as staff and had an amazing, but tiring, weekend of speakign to players about all things Runescape. Having worked on Runescape for over two years at this point I could really connect with players, one group even did impressions of my sounds which was the highlight and honestly, one of the highlights of my career so far! To have players list off their favourite sounds from an update, Necromancy in this case, was truly humbling.

I helped out on the 'Cabbage Catapult', one of the many 'skill chip' games that players could play to collect skill chips that added up to form a collectable set. It was super tiring doing a couple of ~ 10 hour days with arriving on the Friday. The friday was spent listening to a briefing, collecting our mod shirts and following this up with a great Chinese meal with fellow staff.

The whole weekend was a blast and I'll definitley attend the next one as a staff volunteer.
