A quick look back on the last few months...

Summer is over and now is time to look back on the last few months both personally and professionally. I have taken the bulk of my annual leave days this summer for Glastonbury Festival and a trip to Canada.
Both trips were inspiring creatively, Glastonbury gave me a plethora of art, live performance and memories with friends. Canada gave me studio recording and the inspiration that comes from experiencing another part of the world.

Professionally, life has been busy as always, spending my time between Runescape and Runescape: Dragonwilds. The finale of the Desert Quest storyline concluded with the Amascut boss, for which I designed a significant portion of the sounds and processed, implemented, and tested the voiceover. This was my first time handling VO., I successfully integrated over 300 lines across the quest and boss fight.
The usual MTX cosmetics work has been fun over the last few months. On a Friday after work, I recorded some bees on my allotment just because they sounded great, after coming back to work on the Monday, I discovered we needed a bee pet designing, fate it seems. Other pets include a frog, comic book tie in and a few more.
We had an incredibly worthwhile team on-site day with our Creative Director, Daryll. We discussed what was going well in the team as well as what isn't. We talked about AI, our opinions and its possible use in the team.
Thanks for reading,
Oliver.
