I'm Oliver, a Game Audio Sound Designer currently at JAGEX working on the MMORPG titles Runescape and Old School Runescape (GaaS) and Runescape: Dragonwilds (Boxed).
I am an adaptive sound designer with experience in many aspects of sound production for games such as; ambient design, VO recording, magic/spell creation, foley, cinematics for trailers, composition, field recording and much more.
For Runescape I implement sounds direct into our in house language 'Runescript', I take a 'player first' mentality with implementation, focusing on what they need to hear and when. I implement sounds into UE5 with Metasounds on Dragonwilds. I have completed the Wwise 101 Course.
I pride myself on my interdisciplinary communication skills; I have worked with programmers to create adaptive audio, collaborated with designers to concept sound design/VO to understand the tone of projects and I have engaged with producers to time cost and plan for updates I lead.
I have experience mentoring juniors, giving and receiving constructive feedback. I run the monthly sound design challenge to allow cross project feedback on sound design tonally outside of our usual remit

Skills
I use a heavily customised Reaper set-up that allows me to be super creative and efficient in session management and rendering. Day to day I use plug-ins from Soundtoys, Fabfilter, Izotope, Kilohearts, Melda and Waves just to name a few.

Knowledge of Metasounds in UE5 from industry experience.

Knowledge of Wwise - implementing into UE5 from personal learnings.

Experience with Confluence, JIRA and Version Control (Perforce).

Experience managing a sound library and creating a meta data template for use in house to improve company standards.
